The Resilience Award – including the parkrun challenge
The Resilience Award is a participation challenge, and not competitive.
The Resilience Award Challenge is back on for 2025! Open to all Poole Runners members including social members & 2nd claim.
Interested in entering this year? It’s easy! No races to enter, no times to beat … grab a friend or go solo & run or run/walk two or more parkruns, marshal/volunteer & run/walk a couple of 10ks & make sure your points add up to 12 or more.
The challenge is open from 1st January to 31st October 2025 inclusive so check out the info below & start logging your points!
RESILIENCE AWARDS RULES
Two activities from each section must be completed
Total points must reach/exceed 12 points
SECTION 1 (1 point each)
Run/walk any parkrun
SECTION 2 (1 point each)
Marshal at a parkrun or any club event or take an active role in club events (not run leader)
SECTION 3 (2 points each)
Run, walk, or run/walk a 10k+ anywhere along these routes-
· Castleman Trailway
· Sika Trail paths
· Wareham Forest
· The Prom
· Trust 10 (any)
· Holes Bay Circuit
· Whitecliff/Sandbanks
If you’re lucky to escape to sunnier climes during the year, choose your 10k+ route wherever you are – just let us know where & send us a photo!
EXTRA BONUS POINTS will also be awarded for the most parkruns run/walked PLUS even more bonus points for the highest number of different letters of the alphabet parkruns!
Entries must be emailed to challenge@poolerunners.co.uk by 31st October.

SUMMARY
Award Rules
- Open to all – Open to all Poole Runners members including social members and 2nd claim
- Club vests – not required
- Social/group runs – there may be walks/runs arranged informally through the period, look out for any details on Facebook, or arrange your own and invite others!
- Club Champs – you can compete in the Club Champs as well as the Resilience Award.
- All levels – can be done at walk or run.
