The Resilience Award – including the parkrun challenge
The Resilience Award is a participation challenge, and not competitive.
This year we are having a points-based system.
There must be 2 activities from each section completed, and points total must reach/exceed 12 points.
Section 1 (1 point each): parkrun
Any parkrun
Section 2 (1 point each): volunteering
Marshal at parkrun or any club event, or take an active role in club events (not run leader)
Section 3 (2 points each): 10k+
Can be run or walk, anywhere along these routes shown:
- Castleman Trailway
- Sika Trail paths
- Wareham Forest
- The Prom
- Trust10 (any)
- Holes Bay circuit
- Whitecliff Sandbanks
Parkrun bonus awards:
Bonus award for most parkruns
Bonus award for highest number of different letters of the alphabet parkruns.
Dates:
Starts 1st May and ends 31st October
How to enter:
Please keep track of your own points total, these events can be done any time between the dates above. Once you have reached the 12 points please email challenge@poolerunners.co.uk with the details (a list will be fine, it’s a trust-based system). If you want to be considered for the parkrun bonus awards, please confirm the details to this email address before the final date.

SUMMARY
Award Rules
- Open to all – Open to all Poole Runners members including social members and 2nd claim
- Club vests – not required
- Social/group runs – there may be walks/runs arranged informally through the period, look out for any details on Facebook, or arrange your own and invite others!
- Club Champs – you can compete in the Club Champs as well as the Resilience Award.
- All levels – can be done at walk or run.
