Schindlers Shuffles are gentle walks (not runs), organised by club legend Geoff Scott (70), usually of about 6 miles starting and finishing at a pub where most people stop for a drink or food afterwards. All are welcome (including dogs), you don’t have to be a Poole Runner or indeed a runner. Suitable footwear and clothing for the prevailing conditions are recommended as is a drink and cake for the mid-walk break.

Walk 184

Directions

Take the A352 Wareham to Wool Road. Turn right to East Burton BEFORE the Wool train crossing. Drive about a mile and a half and the pub is on the right.

A flat but very enjoyable country walk which twice crosses the River Frome, visits Morton Village Church and the graveyard where Lawrence of Arabia is buried, and returns through woods to the Bovington area.
