DESCRIPTION: This will be Club Seniors Club Championship race. (Club Vests please) \nThe event is race number 9 in the 2016 seniors Club Championship Series and points  will be awarded in the usual way i.e.  females ages 20 to 35 and males 20 to 40 then five year age bands in both genders. \nFirst heat will start at 7:00pm.  Please note ages will be as of 1st Jan 2016. \nIn addition to the usual seniors Club Championship categories there will be two junior categories  (both genders) of 8 to 13 and 14 to 19 inclusive. ( ages as of race day) \nNote: All senior ages are calculated as of 1st Jan 2016. Juniors are calculated on race night. \nMale Club Record is  4:25  held by Andrew Smith (27th August 2015) \nSmall prizes  (both genders) are  awarded  in :- \n\n8 to 13\n14 to 19\n20 to 39\n40+\n60+\nOverall winner\n\nThe  2016 entry form is below and will also be available at Broadstone  on Wednesday and will be circulated at training sessions on Tuesday and Thursdays. \nPlease complete and email to towner456@talktalk.net  The Club asks all to pre-enter if possible.  Cost is just  £2.50  until Wednesday 31st August and £5 on the night. SUMMARY:Schindlers Shuffle 183
DESCRIPTION:Schindlers Shuffles are gentle walks (not runs)\, organised by club legend Geoff Scott (70)\, usually of about 6 miles starting and finishing at a pub where most people stop for a drink or food afterwards. All are welcome (including dogs)\, you don’t have to be a Poole Runner or indeed a runner. Suitable footwear and clothing for the prevailing conditions are recommended as is a drink and cake for the mid-walk break. \nWalk 183\nDirections  \nFrom the roundabout at the junction of A31 and B3078\, take the Corfe Mullen turning up Wimborne Road and the pub is situated a short distance up the hill on the left hand side.

SUMMARY:Train Trail Trot
DESCRIPTION:Our coach(s) will leave the Junction at 8:40am on Sunday morning   (please meet at 8:30) and drop runners of at : \n·         19miles run – Shillingstone \n·         13 Mile run – Blandford Tesco’s \n·         10 mile run – Spetisbury \nThe route will be mainly on the North Dorset trailway (Cycle route 25)\, although does cross some fields which can be muddy in wet weather.  The route will be marked with yellow road paint and arrows. A support car will be en-route. \nThe cost is subsidised by the club so the charge to all attendees is just £5 to include a £2 voucher towards refreshments at the Junction (TBC). SUMMARY:Purbeck Marathon
DESCRIPTION:The Purbeck Marathon takes place in Swanage\, Purbeck and the Jurassic Coast which has spectacular history\, landscapes and views. The course with around 3000 feet of climbs provides a predominately off-road Marathon that is both challenging and rewarding. Please note that this is More than just a Marathon in more ways than one! The course is closer to 27 miles rather than the conventional 26.2. Don’t worry\, the extra mile is the easiest bit of the course!

SUMMARY:Welsh Weekend
DESCRIPTION:The Welsh training weekend organised by club members Geoff\, Chris and Janice will take place from Friday 23rd until Sunday 25th September 2016. \nThis year we will again be based Llantony Priory with members staying in a comfortable bunkhouse\, campsite or local pub the Half Moon Inn which has comfortable rooms and serves good food and drink. \nThere will be a shortish 4 mile run on Friday afternoon with a long run on the Saturday(some members may partake in a local fell race The Black Mountains instead). Another group will also do a long walk on the Saturday instead of the run. There will also be another run or walk on the Sunday. \nLast year(2015) was a great success with 30 ish members attending and enjoying fantastic weather. \nSpeak to Chris or Janice for further info.
