DESCRIPTION:The race is organised by Bournemouth Athletic Club and starts and finishes at Bournemouth Pier. \nThe race is one lap covering an undulating road surface mainly along the Promenade and Cliff-Top overlooking the seafront with stunning views of the Isle of Wight and the Purbeck Hills in the distance. \nThe Bournemouth 10 mile road race is the 3rd Dorset Road Race League (DRRL) race in 2018 and part of ‘The Imperial 10 Mile Series’. The other two races of the Imperial Series are: \nLytchett 10. 10:30am Sunday 11th February 2018 \nLarmer 10. 08:30am Saturday 10th March 2018 \nAll finishers of the 3 series races will receive an ‘Imperial’ medal with top 3 and category prizes against cumulative times too.

SUMMARY:Club Welsh weekend
DESCRIPTION:The Welsh weekend this year is being held on 22nd/23rd Sept\, and is again at Llanthony Priory in the Black Mountains. It’s set in a remote area of stunning scenery.  The week-end is open to Poole Runners of all abilities.  It’s for running\, walking and foremost socialising. \nThe main accommodation is the bunkhouse barn. This has plenty of character and is comfortable with a well appointed kitchen. This is generally used for breakfast. Evening meals are usually in the nearby pub. \nMost travel up on the Friday (some meet at Weatherspoon’s in Abergavenny for a light lunch) arriving at Llanthony Priory bunkhouse in time for a short run or walk. On Saturday\, after breakfast\, there’s a group run open all\, usually returning around 1 pm.  Afternoon is free\, many visit Abergavenny.  For non-runners there is an organised walk that usually finishes mid-afternoon.   After breakfast on Sunday there is an optional walk followed by a leisurely drive home. \nThe bunkhouse cost is £30 for the two nights. DESCRIPTION:  \nThe annual Poole Runner’s Club Mile  will be held on Thursday 7th September.   \nIts race ten of the Senior’s Club Championship(road)  Points for the championship will be awarded in the usual  way. i.e. first  senior 50 points\, 2nd 49 point etc. \nIn addition small medals and trophies for the mile will be awarded on race night to:- \nJunior Boy 8 to 11; Boy 12 to 15; Male Youth 16 to 19  .\nMale  20 to 39; Male 40-49; Male 60+\nJunior Girl 8 to 11; Girl 12 to 15; Female Youth 16 to 19.\nFemale  20 to 39;  Female 40-49; Female 60+\n(note all ages will be calculated as of 1/1/17) \nIt’s a free\, fun evening\, competing over just one mile.
